SBI Net Banking Mobile Number Approval Form

Steps to get SBI Mobile Number Approval Form

  • Logon to https://www.onlinesbi.com which is a secured official website of State Bank of India.
  • Under Personal Banking, find “Login” button then continue to Login Page
  • Sign in to your Account with Username and Password
  • Then Navigate to “Profile” to change the mobile Number
  • Enter into “Personal Details” and enter the Profile Password
  • Change the Mobile Number and download/Print the branch approval form if you don’t receive the verification password to the mobile.

  • Fill the details correctly and handover the same in your SBI Branch.

    1. It is not mandatory to submit the Form by the Account Holder. You can Handover the NET Banking Mobile Number Approval Form through your relatives. Just send the details of yours to them.

      It is a common problem. Please change the Mobile Number of another mobile network then try once. Hope it works.

      Example: If you are currently using BSNL number then use DOCOMO/IDEA/AIRTEL Mobile Number to get High Security Password.

    And i want to connect this account with PayPal.
    I have already done online processes for connecting, but i want to make sure that if he transfer money may i get it easily ?

    1. Yes. It is possible to transfer funds from PayPal to your SBI Account directly. Please find the option "Withdraw" in your PayPal Account and Add your Bank Account. When the funds are available in PayPal will automatically withdraws the amount to your account connected.

I have activated my netbanking in sbi 2 weeks ago.now I want to change my existing bsnl no. to tata indicom.but the sbi employee have told me it can not be done since my netbanking facility is of 2 weeks old & I shall have to wait 6 months for that.Stupid excuse.... But what steps should I take??

  10. I got transferred to chennai. My account is in bangalore branch. I have the form and chennai mobile number. Is it fine if i give the form in nearby SBI branch? or should i need to give to my friends there to handover it to the branch?

    first time I have requested to register my mobile no. by online sbi. But next day I lost my same no. and came to out of country. Now problem is that, when I go to online SBI website, there is no option for changing Mobile number. There is only one option that is print form.
    So how can I change my mobile number now?
    Now this form will work for another mobile number...?

    Is it mandatory to submit the 'branch approval form' of mobile number change in person to the exact branch of SBI?
    Because, currenlty i got transferred and i am living in a diffrent district.
    a)Can i scan the filled branch approval form and send it via email to the respective branch's bank manager so that it gets approved? OR
    b)Can i submit the form in a near by SBI branch(not the brach where the account belongs) so that it get approved?

  17. It has been over an year that i have opened an account in SBI but still haven't received my cheque book or net banking details. I had registered my number for mobile banking. But now my number has changed and I am in a different city. How can i change my number in the bank ??? i did the mobile registration and went to the ATM for further process... But my mobile number just won't get registered... In need of urgent help... Please reply soon...

      You have to apply for Check Book. They wont send check leaves without your request.
      For Mobile Banking activation just send SMS MBSREG to 567676 to get MPIN and follow further steps mentioned in the SMS.

    1. Please check your profile ashish. If the number doesnt changed, wait for few days and consult your branch manager for further process. Normally it takes a week or less depending on the activeness of the branch.

  25. I had submitted the form in branch to update my new number for receiving OTP(high security password) in internet banking. Now the bank representative has made the change as i requested. Problem i am facing is new number is not got reflected in my profile display page and i am receiving messages in new number only any amount got credited in my account. I want to get OTP in my new number, now you can understand it as partial change.
    Not receiving OTP but message if any amount got credit.
    I visited several times branch and bank representative is saying i have updated the new number, even he does not know why it is not getting approved for online transaction. Could not find any way. P Lease help me out

    1. OTP Generation is independent to logs generation(receiving message when amount got credited etc). Getting One Time Password will also depends on the Cellular Network. Hope you got the solution.

    2. E ven I am also facing the same problem. The new no. not reflecting in the profile, but sms alerts I am receiving on my new no. And do not receive high security password. Also unable to get MMID. After sending sms MMID SBI to 922344000, I get a reply stating my no. is not linked to my account. But I use sms and mobile banking from the same no.

  26. 2 Months back I have requested for internet banking userid and password. On 17 Dec I received speed post from SBI which had only password. Can you please let me know when and how will I get User ID? I also tried to re-send user id through sms from Onlinesbi website. After entering all the relevant details it failed to send sms and said Please contact your branch.

    1. Sorry. Im not sure about your problem. Normally Internet Banking Kit will be issued personally from the respective SBI Branch. Its a 10 min of work. Get the Netbanking Application form then you will be issued a kit containing get started information.

  39. I have 2 different SBI accounts. One held in Goa and the other in Gurgaon. I recently moved to Singapore, so requested to change my mobile number to my new Singapore number for internet banking. For that I scanned the mobile number approval form and sent to both bank managers. The Gurgaon branch manager is refusing to update my mobile number since it is an international number.She says it is not allowed by rule to have internet banking facility if you are abroad! The surprising thing is that the Goa branch manager approved my Singapore number. Is there some rule like that which says that of you have an international number you cannot do internet banking?

    I had 3 questions to ask.
    1. I had a chennai number on which I used to get messages regarding transactions, I lost that mobile a year ago, and due to negligence, I didn't block it. When I tried activating net banking now, it asks me to add a number, nothing is showing as an alredy existing number. I mean my transactions would still be sending texts to that number. Is this a problem?
    2. Does creating a profile password involve going to the home branch?
    3. How long does it take to get the mobile number activated for mobile banking?
