At last the Notification for AP SET 2012 (AP SLET 2012) has been published. AP SET is formerly known as AP SLET which means State Level Eligibility Test. It gives more opportunities to the one who are strongly seeking to get Lectureship. NET will be conducted by Universal Grants Commission where the level of standards in setting the examination paper was too high resulting there is a decrease in Pass percentage. Where as AP SET 2012, this will taken place in state level. So because of this the pass percentage would be more in less competition.

AP SET 2012 Online Application Form

As per the details that are available from the AP SET 2012 Notification, the submission of Online Application forms will going to start from May 3rd, 2012 and continues till May 30th, 2012. The Test will be in Objective Mode(No Negative Marks). By chance if anyone failed to submit their respective application through online they have a chance to send with late fee. More details are given below.

• Starting date of filling applications: 03.05.2012
• Last date or Ending date: 30.05.2012
• With late fee of Rs. 100/- : 01.06.2012 to 05.06.2012
• With late fee of Rs. 200/- : 06.06.2012 to 10.06.2012
• Date of State Eligibility Test: 27.07.2012 (Friday) from 09.30AM to 04.30PM

APSET 2012 Eligibility
Post Graduation students are eligible to appear for the eligibility test with minimum Percentage of 55%(General/BC) and 50% (SC/ST/PH/VH). Candidates who are currently pursuing their final Post Graduation can also apply for APSET.  The Pattern seems like UGC NET but the main advantage in having AP SET 2012 was there is a chance of writing exam in our own mother tongue. This entire examination will be conducted for 24 subjects. They are Anthropology, Commerce, Economics, English, Life Sciences, Management, History, Mathematical sciences, Physical Education, Political Sciences, Public Administration, Telugu, Chemical Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Education, Earth Sciences, Linguistics, Hindi, Law, Physical Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Urdu. The written test process will be held all over the state in 12 centers.

Registration Fee
Candidates have to pay the fee by getting challan form from the official website. The Registration Fee are as follows.

• For OC: Rs.700
• For BC: Rs.500 and
• For SC/ST/PH/VH: Rs.250
