ISEET 2013 Online Test Notification

Causes to change entrance exam to ISEET 2013 Online Test

Mainly ISEET 2013 was proposed by Ministry of Human Resource Development, India because to reduce the stress on students who are willing to attend for various entrance examinations. They thought that, if all these exams were centralized there is chance of decreasing mental burden on aspirants. Really it was the great move by the Government of India.
Apart from mental burden, financial stress will also get reduced which was beneficial for students. There is a chance of getting admission in good college by focusing on only single test syllabus. ISEET 2013 Online Test will be held twice or more in an academic year. Score of ISEET Entrance Test will remain valid for 2 years.

What are the Changes in New Pattern?
  1. Minimum 40% weightage will be given to School Board marks
  2. Totally ISEET 2013 was divided into two categories: ISEET MAIN (Objective Aptitude Test) 30% weightage will be given and ISEET ADVANCE (School Board Syllabus) with maximum of 30 Percent weightage in process of admission.
What is ISEET MAIN?
ISEET MAIN is an Objective Test which is same like CAT, SAT etc., to test the student’s English comprehension Logical Reasoning and Critical Thinking.

Syllabus of  ISEET 2013 Main
ISEET MAIN is completely an Objective Test. Questions will be based on Aptitude to measure the thinking skills of the particular student. Duration of the exam is 03 hours from 10.00AM to 01.00PM.
  • Comprehension
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Critical Reasoning

What is ISEET ADVANCE?
ISEET ADVANCE is the one which depends mainly on School Board Syllabus and difficulty level equal to AIEEE. 30% weightage will be taken into consideration which was mandatory to take admission into central engineering institutions.

Syllabus of  ISEET 2013 Advance
ISEET ADVANCE will be in the model of solving given problems to check the student capability in solving science subjects problems. Like the MAIN it also has time period of 3 hours from 02.00PM to 05.00PM.
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Purely Objective.

  10. Mr. Sibal, IIT/AIEEE are not for failures (LLB & Politics). Pl. leave it alone. Just go and sit for a few hours besides a IIT/AIEEE aspirant. Its no joke. It needs raw Grey matter. Don't destroy a successful system. Instead change the schooling system. Its only business out there. No studies, only fuss.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I agree , Sibbal should change the schooling system not the competition system.

      Delete
    2. Exactly...
Actually they are trying to make the things more easier for students. Eg. the sick CCE System.
And now Sibbal is trying to drown this IIT standard too. Man, this is competition, they are expected to be hard.

    3. i totally agree with u man..

    4. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU MAN!. THERE IS NO POINT IN CONDUCTING ISEET. IIT-JEE IS A HIGHLY PRESTIGOUS EXAM AND ISEET IS ACTUALLY PULLING DOWN THE STANDARD OF IIT. JUST A FEW MONTHS LEFT FOR PREPERATION AND PRACTICE. THE NEW PATTERN ISEET WILL RUIN THE PREP OF MANY GOOD STUDENTS WHO COULD HAVE CLEARED IIT-JEE 2013.

      Delete
    5. i too agree , mr.sibal should have first asked the aspirants about the change and instead of doing that he goes on using his fail political mind in destroying THE IIT.

  11. Sirs at HRD Ministry, Please take note of the following :
    1. Do not treat JEE like CAT.
    2. There are several boards in India. So first create a single board to try out the new system.
    3. Is the JEE syllabus going to reduce. No, in that case additional burden to perform in extra subjects like aptitude test. Our children become just learning machines.
    4. Start the system after through thinking, across the board suggestions and student feedback. Hence, do not introduce it midterm in any session/year. Do not play with the carriers of lakhs of children for your whimsical ideas.
    Stop playing into lobbies.

    ReplyDelete
  12. There are several boards in India.
Their syllabus and marking systems are different. The same student scoring 80 % in West Bengal Board can score 95% in Andhra Pradesh Board. Many deserving students will be left out resulting in injustice and the doomed future of our country. Imagine the catastrophe it will bring to our society. So first bring the whole country under any one board having single syllabus.

Next, the exam should be like objective pattern of IIT/AIEEE in Board too once its marks are considered. Each examiner has a different view to mark subjective answers. One may like long answers with detailed steps and another examiner may prefer short answers for the
same problem and give marks accordingly.
Again, a big draw back in bringing uniformity.

Exams like IIT,AIEEE,CAT,Medical,CA are deciders of fate. So handle them with utmost care. Decisions in haste can proven counter-productive and suicidal.

  13. I fully agree with the latest comments from a sensible educated person. Many boards, difficulty level of board exams and %age of marks, type of tests, differing examiners thought-process, etc. are the prime points to be considered. HRD ministry must not play with the students future, in turn country's future! No action to be taken in haste and country's learned educationsts including IITs/IIMs etc must be consulted.

    ReplyDelete
  14. good idea of reducing stress on students.better to declare the pattern of iseet quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  15. If a State Board Topper gets 98% then this student will be awarded 40/40 marks and a student who obtains 95% will be scored as followes : = 95/98*40marks= 38.7755 fourth decimal rounded off . If ISI Kolkata opts for scaled scores then topper may get lower marks like 37/40 and if a student scores 90% then he may get only 32/40 i.e severe punishment will be awarded for students who bomb in hindi or neglect their biology and who get even a single Computer algorithm wrong in vocational computer science can kiss IIT goodby. Your English has to be like a Cambridge UK professor grade to score 95% in English. You will have to prepare for stringent oral exam for practicals and study last 20 years questionpapers by heart.
***What about those who are in class 11 th now or those who are giving class 12 board. For those who are giving class 12 board if they fail to qualify for IIT this year and also have got somewhat less marks in board. Then all the passages to IIT will be closed for him the next year.As no particular sample paper and date of implementation is given for ISEET.*I think it would be a best option if ISEET is implemented from 2014 because it will give the freshers i.e those who are going to class 11th this year because they will prepare themselves according to the new syllabus. The outdated NCERT textbooks needs to be redefined also. This will also reduce the trauma for both who is appearing for IIT this year or in the coming year.**

  20. Just have a single board, a single JEE. Do not introduce complications like ISEET. We are already way back in technology from the developed countries. Sub-standard brains will take us further back. I do not understand the reason to change a successful system. What kind of thinking is it, I pity. I challenge anybody to perform in IIT JEE just attending a school and taking no tuition in comparison to those who attend extra coaching classes. In 1960's students got direct admission in Engineering colleges even after scoring 50% marks in H.S. Is it possible today. Schools don't deliver. Then why this grudge against tuition and Coaching institute. and trying things like ISEET. They sound good but are hollow.

  40. I think IITs should be left alone. Even if the New JEE is conducted, they can consider only the scores of main and advanced, without the board. To make it more clear, they may also include another paper on PCM separately (NEW JEE ADVANCED PAPER-II) on the next day.For other NITs and State run Institutes, consideration of the Board may be done. No problem. Let Kapil be happy... and also IITs.. saving their brains from contaminations...

Have atime frame for everything you want to implement and dont thing that it should be implemented before your tenure is over or your party may not come next time.Firstly make education a central matter.Have common syllabi for all classes in English maths and science. Then you can talk of common entrance exam. You have copied CGPA system for CBSE from USA.You don't even think of education system of that country. You may think out of box but please think rationally.

  76. you are talking about reducing the stress on students.
well, think about it- according to current pattern if one fails in iit, he cn work hard for aieee; still if he fails, then there are state exams. so there r multiple options.
but with iseet, itz "now or never" situation for us, which means an increased pressure of giving our best once and for all.
maybe you should think once again before taking such step.

I THINK ANY 3 SUBJECTS FROM ALL FIVE SUBJECTS IN 12 BOARD,, THE 40% MARK WILL BE TAKEN FROM THAT..i.e EITHER PCM or PCB or PECs ANY COMBINATION ,,SO THAT THE STUDENTS CAN CONCENTRATE ON THIS HIGH LEVEL COMPETETIVE EXAM.........THANK YOU

They have taken help from http://educationforumindia.net/main/. Parents who are concerned about this issue can join signature campaign by sending email to fairnessineducation@gmail.com
so please join this to make some genuine change in pattern of iseet. to remove this extra unnecessary burden from students. at least for students who dropped for this year.
