The primary objective of this project is to measure different process parameters like temperature, voltage, frequency of an electricity generation plants, automated process plants, automated electrical equipments etc.
This Data Acquisition System and Control has two modules. One module measures all the parameters with the help of 8 channel multiplexed successive approximation type ADC, cooperators, micro controller etc. the project reads the said parameters and displays on the 16X2 dot matrix LCD display simultaneously transfers the data to PC via RS232 link. the same data is displayed in the PC.
The second module is a control system that controls the output when any one of the parameters exceeds a pre-determined values decided by the PC. The limits can be changed in PC and complete flexible for the user. The program written in micro controller for getting the data from different sensors and subsequently displayed and transmitted to the PC and controls the output based on code received from PC.
The program written in PC has got different front end applications like parameter data storage with respect to time for future analysis regarding the condition of the equipment. We established a bi-directional protocol between PC and Micro controller.
